Helheim • Combination of amber and frankincense with herbal top note

Helheim - unisex, very incensey, resinous, based on a combination of amber and frankincense, top note of blue tansy, nutmeg and magnolia leaf with heart of styrax, angelica and euphorbia and heart / base of amber and frankincense.

Helheim, the realm where those, who die a dishonorable death go, to live out their afterlife. Dishonorable may however mean something quite different for us today, as it meant passing due to natural causes, disease or accident, rather than ending your life in a glorious battle. But Helheim is not a place of suffering or torment. It is the domain of the goddess Hel and it is peaceful and comforting for its inhabitants, even it if may be a little bit bleak and unexciting. It is still home.

Helheim as interpreted in scent is quite sweet, with herbal top note of blue tansy, spicy yet light nutmeg and sweet magnolia leaf with a heart-base of frankincense and amber, which dries down the scent to a comforting and warm resinous powder.
