The Herbalist lives, as it is customary, in a wooden cottage deep in the woods. Bundles of drying hers hang from the beams holding the moss-covered roof and the small hearth and fireplace give the interior a characteristic scent of burning wood and warmth. A cauldron is bubbling above the fire, a simmering herbal decoction is brewing - perhaps to heal someone of an ailment, or maybe, to serve as an offering to the spirits of the land. Or perhaps it is a spell that is brewing, one to lift a curse or bless a new family.
The scents of the dry bundles of herbs mix together, chamomile and St.John's wort become brethren, while the gentle myrtle whispers to a savory bush on the windowsill. A few sprigs of lemon thyme are cut on the birchwood table. The herbalists hands, smelling of sweet white flowers place the knife gently on the surface and carry the herb cuttings to the cauldron.
Main notes: white birch, Atlantic cedar, oud (agarwood), myrtle, savory, chamomille, cape chamomile, lemon thyme, cestrum, spartium, white magnolia
The Herbalist is a light, airy almost minty herbal scent with woody and smoky undertones.
